Each passenger (even if he is minor) can introduce articles that are mentioned next, new or used, like part of his personal luggage, without the payment of taxes:

1. Goods for personal use, such as clothing, footwear and personal toiletries and beauty products, provided that they are appropriate for the duration of the trip and that by reason of their quantity cannot be the object of commercialization, including wedding party items.
   
   Explanatory notes:
   1. It is considered that the goods are of personal use, when by its nature and amount, can be considered that the passenger can reasonably need them in the course of  the trip, taking into account the duration and the circumstances of the trip, the object of the trip, profession, activity and characteristics of the passenger. 2 In order to introduce articles for the transfer, cleanliness and entertainment of baby like part of the luggage it is necessary that the baby has travel along with the passenger.
   
   
2. Two photographic cameras or video recorders and, when applicable, their accessories, up to 12 rolls of new film or videocassettes; photographic material printed or on film; two cellular telephones or radio phones; a typewriter; an electronic calendar; a new or used portable computer (laptop), notebook, omnibook or similar items; a copier or portable printer; a portable projector, whether new or used and their accessories.
   
   
3. Two new or used portable sports equipment, four rods, three speedboats with or without sails and their accessories, trophies or recognitions, one stair climber and a bicycle, provided that they can be transported normally and commonly by the passenger.
   
   Explanatory notes: 1. In order for the sport equipment to be considered part of the personal luggage of the passenger, will have to be portable, that is to say that they are susceptible to be transported by the passenger; 2. When the passenger brings with himself trophies of sport hunting, if it is dead or dissected animal or his parts, it will be necessary to be deposited in the warehouse of the customs to carry out the proceedings for his later import, through customs agent, paying the corresponding taxes and fulfilling the respective permissions. 
   
   
4. A portable radio for the recording or reproduction of sound or mixed tapes; or a digital sound reproducer or portable reproducer of compact discs and a portable reproducer of DVD’s, such as a pair of portable speakers, whether new or used and their accessories.
   
   
5. Five laser disks, 10 DVD disks, 30 compact disks (CD) or magnetic tapes (audiocassettes), for the reproduction of sound and five storage devices memory cards for any electronic equipment.
   
   
6. Books, magazines and printed documents.
   
   
7. Five toys, —included those that are collectible— and a video game console.
   
   
   Explanatory notes: Being toys, if the toys appear in a package (kit or game) that contains more than a piece, each package will be considered like a toy.
   
   
8. Devices that permit measurement of arterial pressure and glucose, as well as medications of personal use; in the case of psychotropics the medical prescription should be shown.

9. Valises, cigarette cases, trunks and suitcases necessary for the movement of goods.
   
   Explanatory notes: The velices, trunks, cases, suitcases, bags, boxes or any other necessary article for the transfer of the luggage can be introduced which the luggage of the passenger is contained.
   
   
10. With respect to passengers of legal age, a maximum of 20 packs of cigarettes, 25 cigars or 200 grams of tobacco and up to three liters of alcoholic beverages, as well as wine; any quantity of cigars, in excess of the above, cannot be imported without complying with applicable regulations and restrictions.
    
    
11. A pair of binoculars and a telescope.
    
    
12. Two musical instruments and its accessories.
    
    Explanatory notes: In order for the musical instruments to be considered part of the personal luggage of the passenger will have to be portable, that is to say that they are susceptible to be transported by the passenger.
    
    
13. A camping tent and camping equipment, new or used, as well as their accessories.
    
    
14. With respect to handicapped persons, the goods for personal use that by their characteristics supplement or diminish their handicap. In this case, among those considered, is any equipment or devices that each person carries with them, such as walkers, wheelchairs, crutches and canes.

• A set of tools including its case, it might have a hand drill, wire cutters, wrenches, dices, screwdrivers, current cables, among others.
  
  Explanatory notes: In order for the tools and its case be considered part of the personal luggage of the passenger will have to be portable; that is to say that they have to be susceptible to be transported by the passenger.
  
  
• Up to two dogs or cats, with their accessories, provided that the passenger presents to the customs personnel the Animal Sanitary Import Certificate issued by the Secretary of Agriculture, Ranching, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food supplies of Mexico (SAGARPA).
  
  Explanatory notes: Different animals cannot be introduced, like part of the luggage. In case that the passenger brings with himself different animals, it will have to carry out the proceedings for his import, through a customs agent, later. There are restrictions to the import of certain species animals, reason why it is recommendable to consult ahead of time if the animals can be imported or not.
  
  
  Explanatory notes:
• In the cases that is indicated a maximum limit in number of merchandise that can be brought like part of the luggage, for example, up to five toys, cannot be introduced a bigger number than the indicated, like part of your personal luggage.
  
  
• Any additional merchandise or different from what it is indicated in the previous list that a passenger brings, it does not comprise of its personal luggage.
